How do I get the VPN client?
The Cisco VPN client and the related profile can be downloaded via the Leibniz Computer Center webserver under the following URL: https://www.lrz.de/services/netz/mobil/vpnclient/. You have to identify yourself on this page with a valid username (e.g. LRZ, MyTUM, CamusLMU) to get to the download page. As the installation program is about 14 megabytes in size, we recommend using a fast Internet connection (estimated download times 56k: 30 min, ISDN: 15 min, DSL: 2 min).
Installing the VPN client:
Double-click on the file mwn-vpnclient-macosx-4.9.01.0180-universal.dmg (4.9.01.0180 refers to the version number) to create the CiscoVPNClient drive on the finder desktop.
Double-click on this to open a window containing the installation program (Cisco VPN Client.mpkg) and two folders. Double-click on Cisco VPN Client.mpkg to start the installation. After installation, the disk image can be ejected and the .dmg file deleted.
After authentication in the system, the installation can start.
